Principal & Founder

Samira Ahmadi is the Founding Principal of enviENERGY Studio LLC. Her practice specializes in providing sustainable solutions for the built environment, with a focus on energy performance analyses for new constructions and existing building retrofits. These projects often aim for sustainability certifications, energy upgrades, decarbonization, enhanced occupant health and comfort, and post-occupancy evaluation, measurement, and verification. Samira is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council and Built Environment Plus and contributes to the ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional committee. Samira holds a Master of Science in Building Performance and Diagnostics from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.

An advocate for sustainability and energy efficiency in the built environment, Samira has previously served on the Board of Directors for the USGBC Massachusetts Chapter, and currently, Samira is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Boston Architectural College.

Sustainability Experience Lead

Gabriel is an Energy Analyst and Sustainability Consultant at enviENERGY Studio is uniquely energized by the individuals and technologies in the various disciplines of sustainability. His passion for building science, health and wellness, and sustainable design has been years in the making. In his spare time, Gabriel enjoys living in the Boston area with his wife and dogs, and stays active by practicing sports and attending concerts, art shows, and trying new restaurants. His upbringing in Miami, Florida, immersed him in a myriad of cultures, arts, and diversity, which naturally gave him an appreciation for creativity, traveling, and trying new hobbies. The fast-paced environments of his life in different metropolises and his early passion for preserving nature drive him to think beyond the city and enjoy sustainability as it evolves, benefiting both the built and natural environments.

At enviENERGY Studio, Gabriel focuses on managing LEED, WELL, and Fitwel projects and portfolios for new constructions, particularly life-science and multifamily residential buildings. Gabriel’s Master of Science in Sustainable Building Systems from Northeastern University and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida International University have significantly influenced his desire to foster a healthier, more sustainable future.

ELIZABETH VENUTI

ELIZABETH VENUTI, CPHC, LEED AP BD+C

Building Performance Lead

Elizabeth is an Energy Analyst and Sustainability Consultant who joined enviENERGY Studio in 2021. Prior to joining the team, she spent six years working with home performance contractors to retrofit residential buildings through the Mass Save program. She holds an MS in Sustainable Building Systems from Northeastern University. A combination of her education and experience have cultivated an interest in building science and sustainable practices. Elizabeth hopes to expand her impact on the built environment through her work at enviENERGY. In her spare time, she likes to read, practice yoga and Pilates, and go for walks along the bike path in her neighborhood. She also enjoys listening to WERS, NPR and the occasional crime podcast during her commute on the T.

ROBERT DONOHUE

ROBERT DONOHUE, LEED AP, CPHC

Sustainability Innovation Lead

Robert Donohue is a Building Performance Analyst at enviENERGY Studio. He graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He has experience in various construction industries, from utilities and municipalities to life-science GMPs. His work at enviENERGY Studio has focused on energy modeling, whole-building life cycle assessment, LEED project management, and Passive House consulting. By leveraging iterative modeling, embodied carbon knowledge, and quickly progressing coding skills, he can provide all the necessary skill sets to produce innovative solutions to low-energy, low-carbon construction.

In his free time, he loves to read about topics relating to sustainability and environmental justice. One of his favorite quotes is, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second-best time is now.” Combining a holistic perspective on building construction with a desire to leave the world better than he found it, Robert is an enthusiastic member of the enviENERGY team!

JOSE MOUSSA

JOSE ANDRES MOUSSA, LEED AP BD+C

Sustainability Consultant

Jose Moussa is a Sustainability Consultant at enviENERGY Studio. He holds an M.S. in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University, specializing in Building Energy and Sustainable Practices, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from La Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela. Before joining enviENERGY Studio, he worked as a Research Assistant for the Building Science and Engineering Group at Drexel, conducting research on energy modeling and heat pump systems. Beyond work, Jose maintains an active lifestyle through sports like soccer and running, loves listening to music and dancing, and has a keen interest in exploring the culinary world. Driven by the belief that true happiness comes from activities that benefit others, Jose is passionate about implementing sustainable practices for constructing a brighter and more sustainable future. One of his favorite quotes is, "The best way to predict the future is to create it," which inspires him to grow as a professional and motivate others.

Amelia Negrete is a sustainability consultant at enviENERGY Studio. She joined enviENERGY Studio after graduating from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a minor in mathematics. She has prior experience in the construction industry and hopes to apply her knowledge to affect the built environment in a positive way. Amelia has always had a passion for sustainability and is excited to make an impact at enviENERGY. She enjoys advocating for the environment and implementing sustainable practices in her own daily life. In her free time, Amelia plays various sports, and spends time exploring all that Boston has to offer. She loves to stay active whether that be biking through the city, running on the soccer field, or hiking on the weekends.
